Our Need
Some question a woman’s place,
And of a woman’s right to preach,
She’s the mother of the race,
Should not she have a right to preach?

Woman has priority,
Away with all such tommy rot.
Bring the children to her knee,
God bless the mother of the lot.

Woman is the proper link,
Camp meeting, school, or home,
All agree to this we think,
She is the sugar, cream and foam.

Should this problem e’re arise,
Dear mother is the one to lead,
Just remember God is wise,
And he foresaw the world’s great need.

Oh, Jesus lead,
He is my need,
And guide these feet,
To pastures sweet.
Redeem from care,
This is our prayer.
